A pretty nice copy of How to Hotrod Small-Block Chevys. It’s written by Bill Fisher and Bob Waar. This book is in fair condition overall. The spine has a spot of rough wear on the edge toward the bottom along with a slight crack in it.
This stunning collection is the result of Bill Burke’s two-year photographic odyssey through rural Kentucky and the Deep South. It began as part of the Kentucky Bicentennial Documentary Photography Project and he continued the work with a 1979 Guggenheim Fellowship. Andy Grundberg states in his preface, “Such is the almost biblical cast in Burke’s portrait theater, in which the signs of a bedrock, blue-collar America are assembled for what seems a final curtain call.” Essay by Raymond Carver. 63 pages.
