The original 1903 1st edition with a different company reportedly carried six interior illustrations. This is a nice historical summary on some of the main men in the westward expansion and empire quest of the USA. Here come to life once more Daniel Boone, Davy Crockett and Kit Carson, who with axe and rifle and birch-bark canoe set out to carve a nation.
