(The reason I have to open the shrink-wrap is that they come wrapped in bundles of 4 or 5 copies. But it is a completely pristine copy until I do.) Reprint of a legendary classic, a cycle of stories about a teenaged witch in rural England. Anticipates BUFFY, CHARMED, quite a bit else. A work of vast charm, with sinister touches. By the author of the science fiction classic PAVANE. I have seen the original British hardcover (Millington) of this selling for $500.00. When the book was out of print and virtually impossible to find in any form, a friend of mine spent ten years trying to find the Ace paperback and was finally offered one for $100.00. I once sold the paperback for $50.00. This is a runaway bargain. The original price on the jacket is $20.25. ILLUSTRATED BY STEPHEN FABIAN. This is the definitive edition, with many corrections by the author, and an introduction and one new story added. Always happy to combine shipments on multiple wins.
